Description

This is a guide stoop or milestone from the early 18th century, made of stone. It features a square post with chamfered edges. The north side is inscribed with "Wakefield 6m 1738," while the west side reads "Peniston Road 8m," and the east side has the inscription "(Pontefract) Road 7m."
