Description

This is a milepost from the late 18th century, made of sandstone. It features a small square pillar topped with a dome. The milepost has direction-indicating fingers above inscriptions that are damaged but appear to read: on the north side, "DON / 10 M"; on the east side, "PON / -- M / Houghton"; and the west side is illegible.
