Description
26 Lord Mayors Walk is a shop and flats building from the early 19th century, constructed of brick with a concrete tile roof. The building has three storeys and two bays. The upper storey windows are glazing bar sashes with segmental brick heads, except for the left-hand window on the first floor, which is tripartite and bowed, featuring glazing bar sashes and a reeded surround. On the ground floor, there is a shopfront with a recessed central doorway, flanked by timber pilasters and fascia. To the right of the shopfront, there is a doorcase with engaged reeded columns, a panelled frieze, a plain cornice, and a door with six raised and fielded panels, topped by a semicircular overlight with a single vertical glazing bar. To the right of this is an entrance to a passageway, which has a lintel and a door with six sunken panels. A second doorcase at the far right is part of No. 24. There is a chimney on the right-hand gable. The interior has not been inspected.
