Description

This is an early 19th-century house, now used as offices, situated on Lord Mayors Walk in York. The building is constructed of stucco with painted stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It is two bays wide, with three full storeys plus an attic. A horizontal band runs across the upper two storeys, marking the windowsill level. The ground floor has a single sash window centrally located. The upper floors feature glazing bar sash windows. A flat-roofed attic dormer with a 20th-century window is present on the right-hand side. Doorways with decorative cornice hoods supported by console brackets are situated on both the left and right sides of the building. The doorway on the right leads to a passageway, with a head lower than the cornice. The left-hand doorway has a recessed six-panel door and a corresponding overlight. Gable chimneys are also present. The interior of the building was not inspected during the listing process.
