House and shop. Early C19 with later C19 extension to left. Red brick (earlier section in Flemish bond); pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 first floor windows. Shop front with central entrance and angles defined by pilasters supporting fascia, cornice and blind-box. Pair of part-glazed panelled doors. Blocked entrance and 16-pane sash to left with segmental brick arch and cill. 3 similar first floor windows. Sun Insurance Company plaque above door. Beaded cornice board. End stack on right, axial stack to left. Left return has later ground floor canted bay window under hipped slate roof, first floor tripartite sash with glazing bars and pedimented stone- coped gable with cogged brick raking cornice, the cornice board and cast- iron gutter forming base of pediment. The ranges to the rear are of no special interest. Included for group value.
