Description
Number 21 is a house with attached railings, built in 1790 and altered in the late 20th century. It features painted brick with a stucco basement and ground floor, painted ashlar dressings, and a slate roof with a single gable stack. The building has a rusticated basement and ground floor, with ground-floor and first-floor sill bands and a dentillated cornice. It stands three storeys tall, plus a basement, and has a three-window range. The front has three 12-pane sash windows with multi keystone lintels, and above them are three 6-pane sash windows with similar lintels. The ground floor includes two 12-pane sash windows with panelled aprons, and to the right is a wooden doorcase featuring engaged Doric columns and a dentillated pediment, with a fielded 6-panel door and fanlight. The basement has two 12-pane sash windows. Outside, there is wrought-iron railing surrounding the area and steps.
