Description
Number 18 is a house that has been converted into a salon and office, with attached railings. It was built in 1790 and underwent some alterations in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring a rendered basement and painted ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof that has a single gable stack. It has a ground-floor sill band and dentillated wooden eaves. The house has three storeys plus a basement and a two-window range. The windows are plain sashes; those on the ground and first floors have multi keystone lintels, while the second-floor windows are smaller. On the ground floor, to the right, there is a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric columns and a dentillated pediment, which frames a fielded six-panel door and fanlight. Outside, there is a plain wrought-iron railing enclosing the area and steps.
