Description

The building comprises two houses, later adapted for use as a Friends’ Meeting House, dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. Constructed of painted stucco, it features a hipped slate roof with two rendered ridge stacks. The facade has a plinth, rusticated ground floor, quoins, a ground floor cornice, and moulded wooden eaves. It is three storeys high and has a two-window range of paired glazing bar casements, incorporating central mullions and cornices. Above these, five plain sash windows are arranged, with the third window being smaller and possessing moulded surrounds. A coved round-arched doorway, featuring six-panel double doors and a fanlight, is located on the left side of the ground floor, alongside four glazing bar casements with transoms. The return elevation facing Baker Street displays a segment-headed casement window above a smaller plain sash window, with a door and a transomed casement window below.
