Description
Number 26 is a house that has been converted into a club and bar, originally built in 1790 and altered around 1990. The building is made of brick with a painted basement and ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof and a single ridge stack. It features a ground-floor sill band, a first-floor band, and a wooden gutter supported by brackets. The structure has three storeys plus a basement and a two-window range. The windows are adorned with multi keystone lintels, with two plain sashes on each floor; the second-floor windows are smaller, and the ground-floor windows have sunblinds. On the right side, there is a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric columns, a dentillated pediment, and a fielded six-panel door with a fanlight above. The basement includes two 20th-century windows. Outside, there is a plain wrought-iron railing enclosing the area and steps leading down.
