Description
Number 30 is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, with attached railings. It was built in 1790 and altered in 1990. The building is made of brick with a painted basement and ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof that has a single side wall stack. It features a ground-floor sill band, a first-floor band, a modillion wood eaves cornice, and a single coped gable. The structure has three storeys plus a basement and a three-window range. The windows are sashes with multi keystone lintels; on the first floor, there are three 12-pane sashes, and above them, three 6-pane sashes. The ground floor has two plain sashes with sunblinds, and to the right, there is a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric columns and a dentillated pediment, a fielded 6-panel door, and a fanlight. The basement features a plain sash window to the left and a 20th-century glazed double door to the right. Outside, there is cast-iron area railing and steps with a matching balustrade.
