Number 28 And Attached Railings

Number 28 is a house that has been converted into a bar, with attached railings. It was built in 1790 and underwent alterations around 1890 and again in 1990. The building is made of brick with a painted basement and features ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof that has a single ridge stack.

Architecturally, it has three storeys plus a basement and a three-window range. The first-floor band and modillion wood eaves cornice add decorative elements. The windows are sashes with multi keystone lintels; the first floor has three plain sashes, while the upper floor features three smaller plain sashes. On the ground floor, there are two plain sashes with sunblinds, and to the right, there is a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric columns and a dentillated pediment, leading to a fielded four-panel door and a stained-glass fanlight. The basement has two renewed plain sashes.

Outside, there is a plain wrought-iron railing surrounding the area and steps leading up to the entrance.
