Description
Number 27 is a house that has been converted into a bar, with attached railings. It was built in 1790 and altered around 1990. The building is made of brick with a painted basement and ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof and a single ridge stack. It features a ground-floor sill band, a first-floor band, and a dentillated wooden eaves cornice. The structure has three storeys, plus a basement and attics, and consists of a two-window range. The windows are adorned with multi keystone lintels, with two plain sashes on the ground floor and two 6-pane sashes above. Above these, there is a wooden box dormer with a plain sash. The ground floor has two plain sashes with sunblinds, and to the right, there is a wooden doorcase with engaged Doric columns and a dentillated pediment, featuring a fielded panelled door with Greek Key ornament and a fanlight. The basement has two 20th-century plain sashes. Outside, there are stone steps and cast-iron area railings.
