House, now day nursery. 1863, with late C20 alterations. By FW Hagen. Yellow brick with painted stucco dressings and hipped slate roof with 4 side wall stacks. Plinth, rusticated quoins, modillion eaves cornice. 2 storeys; 5-window range. Recessed centre, single window, flanked by hipped wings, 2 windows. These windows are plain sashes with moulded surrounds and keystones. Central portico with panelled pilasters, enriched frieze and cornice. Shouldered opening and half-glazed door with sidelights and fanlight. On either side, a canted bay window with scroll brackets to sill and cornice, which breaks forward at the angles. Right return has a late C20 fire escape.
