Description
This coach house, now used as a garage, dates from around 1800 and is located approximately 10 metres east of Number 16 on Pinfold Street in Howden. It is constructed of brick in English bond with a pantile roof. The building features a prominent two-storey central section with a pediment, flanked by lower two-storey wings that have lean-to roofs. The central section has garage doors inserted, while the left wing contains a board door and a fixed window. The right wing has a double board door. On the first floor, there is a central six-pane fixed window set beneath a flat brick arch, with blind panels on either side, and a blind oculus in the pediment. The gable has coping and flat kneelers. Inside, the coach house has a king-post roof with struts. This building is included for its group value.
