Description
This is a mid- to late 18th-century house located on the south side of Main Street, Skirpenbeck. It is constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof. The original design was a single storey and attic with three bays, later extended with a bay to the left. The front features a 20th-century six-panelled door, flanked by 20th-century top-opening lights with glazing bars, all set beneath segmental brick arches. A similarly treated window is found in the left-hand bay. A stepped and dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top. Two 20th-century raked dormers are present, each with top-opening lights and glazing bars. An axial brick stack is visible, with plain close verges to the left and tumbled-in brick to the aisled gables on the right.
