Description
This is a milestone dating from the early 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a cast iron insert. The milestone is a triple-stepped block with a rectangular cast-iron insert that displays the inscription: "YORK 11 Miles." On the reverse side, there is an oval cartouche with the same carved inscription.
