Description
The stable block located to the rear of Skirpenbeck House dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of five bays arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern. The central entrance has a double-leaf boarded door set beneath an elliptical gauged-brick arch. This entrance is flanked on both sides by six-panel doors with overlights, which are also under similar arches. The end bays have sliding sash windows with glazing bars. On the first floor, there is a central Diocletian window with a sill, flanked by two louvred openings with overlights on each side. The building is topped with a dentilled brick eaves cornice and has a hipped roof, with stacks on the rear wall.
