Description

Linden House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Sandy Lane, Tealby. It is built of red brick with a pantile roof, stone coped gables with kneelers, and gable stacks. The house presents a two-storey, three-bay front, with a projecting single-storey, four-bay wing to the left. The central doorway has an open pediment and fanlight, a moulded wooden doorcase with panelled surfaces, and a deep-set six-panel door. This doorway is flanked by glazing bar sashes with scored plaster and splayed lintels, and three similar windows are above. The projecting wing to the left features brick battlements. A pointed doorway with a plank door is located to the right of the projecting wing, alongside a pointed window with three intersecting tracery lights. A similar window is found in the right return of the projection.
