Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of Main Street in Willoughby on the Wolds. The house is constructed of red brick with some rubble, and has a concrete pantile roof. There are red brick stacks on the right gable and two on the ridge. A painted wooden cornice runs along the top of the house. The ground floor features a plinth of red brick and rubble. The main block is two storeys high and four bays wide. The front door is panelled, with an overlight above. Flanking the door are reeded pilasters that support brackets and a hood. To the left of the door is a single glazing bar sash window, with two similar sashes to the right. Above these are three similar sashes, all set beneath segmental arches. A lower, single-bay wing is built of red brick and concrete pantile, with a gable stack on the left, dentil eaves, and a brick and rubble plinth. This wing contains a single, small glazing bar casement window, also set within a segmental arch.
