Description
Broughton Grange Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Foss Way in Upper Broughton. The building is rendered and features a hipped slate roof with two lateral stacks on each side and oversailing eaves. It is two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The farmhouse has an ashlar plinth and stone steps that lead to a central six-panel door, which includes an overlight and a hood supported by shaped brackets. The doorcase is panelled, and there are sash windows with glazing bars, moulded cases, and raised sills on either side of the entrance. The first floor has three similar sash windows. At the rear, the ground floor has been altered to include a large single-storey central addition, while the first floor retains three sash windows similar to those at the front. The interior has not been inspected.
