Description
No. 2 Skidby Road is a house that likely has origins from the early 18th century and was enlarged by one bay to the left in the 19th century. It is constructed from chalk block and rubble, with brick used for the later extension, and features a pantiled roof. The house has a central lobby-entry plan and is two storeys high with a three-window front. The entrance consists of a panelled door flanked by two-light sliding sash windows, which are set under flat gauged brick arches, with a segmental arch to the left and sills. On the first floor, there are three similar sliding sash windows, also with sills. The house has end and axial stacks, and the roof has plain close verges.
