Description

This is a barn dating from the early 18th century, located to the west of Inman Cottage in Sancton. It is constructed from coursed oolitic limestone rubble, featuring freestone quoins and brick dressings, and has a pantiled roof. The barn is two storeys high with attics and consists of five bays. The ground floor has five square openings, each topped with segmental heads. The raised gables have tumbled-in brick with rounded saddles. Note that part of the front has been recently rebuilt using breeze block.
