Description
The White Row is a row of five estate cottages built around 1820. They are constructed of red brick and rubble walling, which has been whitewashed, with brick dressings. The cottages have a pantile roof featuring one gable and three ridge stacks, and they are two storeys high.
On the north street front, there are five windows. The ground floor arrangement from left to right includes a door, a window, two doors, two windows, and another door. The windows are glazing bar sliding sashes, and the doors are four-panelled, all topped with segment heads. The upper floor has five glazing bar sliding sashes, each with wooden lintels.
On the garden front, the ground floor features a door, a window, a door, a window, a small window, a door with a gable porch, a window, a small double window, a door, a window, a door, and a window, arranged from left to right. The windows are sliding sashes, and the doorways have plank doors, all with segment heads. Inside, these cottages remain virtually unaltered, featuring a range in the front room, brick floors, plank doors, and chamfered beams. Each cottage has a single flight of stairs with stick balusters.
