The ha-ha to the south of Houghton Hall is a late 18th-century feature constructed of red brick with some oolitic limestone rubble. It serves to define the boundary of the gardens located at the rear of Houghton Hall, which is listed in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission County Register of Gardens at Grade II.
