Description
Outgates Farmhouse is a house built in 1789, as indicated by the datestone above the door. It is constructed of red brick, which has been whitewashed, and features a pantiled roof. The design follows a direct entry plan and consists of one storey with attics, arranged in four bays with a 1:1:2 configuration. The ground floor includes a six-panel door, and all the windows are 16-pane sashes. On the upper floor, there is an oculus window with glazing bars above the door, along with three roof dormers that have casement windows with glazing bars. The building has a stepped brick eaves cornice, with end and axial stacks, and plain close verges.
