Description
West End Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid 18th century, with eaves raised and an extension added in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of red and light brown brick and features a pantiled roof. The original layout was a central direct entry plan. The building has two storeys and attics, consisting of three bays with an additional bay to the right. There is a 20th-century door located under a blocked fanlight, which has glazing bars and is set in a fluted doorcase with a projecting cornice supported by chamfered pilasters. The windows are 16-pane sashes throughout, except for the ground floor right bay, which has a casement window with glazing bars beneath a segmental head. The farmhouse has a stepped brick eaves cornice, end and axial stacks, and plain close verges.
