Ground level signal box at the former Burton Agnes Railway Station

The ground level signal box at the former Burton Agnes Railway Station is a single-storey structure built in pinkish-orange brick with gault brick dressings and a Welsh slate roof. It features two bays and has a plinth and quoins. The entrance is located on the gable end and consists of a four-panel door, with an 18-pane Yorkshire sash window to the right, both positioned under a continuous lintel. The main facade displays two 18-pane Yorkshire sash windows. The rear facade includes a fixed 9-pane light with radial glazing at the top, set under a round arch, and there is an 18-pane Yorkshire sash on the rear gable end. The building has overhanging eaves with a timber valance that extends into decorative barge boards at the gable ends, and it is topped with a corner stack.
