Description
This is a mid-19th century house located on West Ella Road, designed in the Gothick style. It is constructed from red brick with white brick dressings and features a fish-scale slate roof. The building has two storeys, consisting of a main range and a cross wing, with flush quoins. The main range includes an external stack on the left and a plain boarded door on the right, both sheltered by a rustic timber verandah. The cross wing features a small canted bay window with latticed glazing on the ground floor, and a 2-light casement window with similar latticed glazing and quoined jambs under a hoodmould on the first floor. The eaves have ornamental barge boards and an end stack. The left side of the house has an advanced 3-light window with latticed glazing on the ground floor, and above it, a 2-light window with quoined jambs and similar glazing.
