Description

This is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, built in the Gothick style. The exterior is a mix of brick, pebbledashing, colour washing, and stucco, topped with pantiled roofs. It is two stories high with a two-window front, although the left side projects forward under a separate gable. Rusticated quoins are a prominent feature. A projecting porch has a pointed opening with a rusticated surround leading to a boarded and glazed door, all sheltered by a gable with barge boards. To the right of the porch is an oblong window with latticed glazing beneath a hoodmould; a similar window, without a hoodmould, is located on the first floor. The left side of the building has a three-light casement window with latticed glazing on the ground floor, and a two-light casement with a hoodmould on the first floor. The eaves have barge boards, and there are rear wall stacks.
