Description

This is a late 18th-century house, extended and altered in the early to mid-19th century with Gothic detailing. The house is constructed of brick, with some areas pebble-dashed and colour-washed, and has a pantiled roof. The main two-storey, three-bay range has a central gabled porch with a pointed opening, containing a boarded door. The porch is topped by a raised coped gable. To the right and left of the main range are single-storey, two-bay wings. The right and left wings each have two-light casement windows with latticed glazing in plain surrounds, sills on shallow brackets, and hoodmoulds. The first floor of the main range has two similar windows on each side, without hoodmoulds, and a blank central opening. The house features bracketed eaves, raised gables, and end stacks. The left wing includes a two-light casement with latticed glazing, a blank opening, a dentilled brick eaves cornice, an end stack, and a raised gable. The right wing has two two-light casements with latticed glazing flanking a blank opening, along with a dentilled brick eaves cornice, an end stack, and a raised gable.
