Description

Thurnby House is a mid-19th century house located on Docking Road in Syderstone. It is built of colourwashed brick with a fish-scale and plain-tiled roof. The house is of Gothic style and has one and a half storeys and three bays. The ground floor features two three-light casement windows, each with a drip mould head. Above, there are two half dormer windows with two lights. A central gable porch provides access, featuring an arched entrance, angle quoins, and deep eaves, as well as a barge board gable. Quoined angles are present throughout. The house has deep eaves and barge board gables over the dormers, with further barge board end gables. A central stack rises from a rendered plinth with a brick shaft.
