Description
Pinfold Cottage is a house dated 1809, located on Southport Road in Scarisbrick. The building is likely made of brick but is currently rendered and colour-washed, featuring raised quoins and a slate roof. It has a double-depth, two-bay plan with an added rear wing and stands two storeys tall, displaying an almost symmetrical façade.
The entrance, offset to the left of centre, consists of a door with four fielded panels and two glazed top panels, framed by a pedimented architrave. On the ground floor, there are two cross-window casements, while the first floor features two 2-light casements, all with surrounds that match the quoins. Above the door on the first floor is a quatrefoil, also dated 1809. The house has gable chimneys, with four flues on the left and two on the right. Other features are of lesser interest.
