Description

SCARISBRICK SOUTHPORT ROAD, Pinfold SD 31 SE 8/42 Pinfold Cottage 1-8-4-1973 GV II

House. Dated 1809 at 1st floor, altered. Probably brick, now all rendered and colour-washed, with raised quoins; slate roof. Double-depth 2-bay plan, with added rear wing. Two storeys, almost symmetrical; offset left of centre a door with 4 fielded panels and 2 glazed top panels, in a pedimented architrave; 2 cross-window casements at ground floor, two 2-light casements at 1st floor, all with surrounds matching the quoins; at 1st floor above the door a quatrefoil dated 1809. Gable chimneys with 4 flues to the left, 2 flues to the right. Other features of less interest.
