Description

This is a farmhouse and cottage built as a single unit, dated 1807 as inscribed on a quatrefoil panel at first floor level. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with a slate roof. It has a double depth plan, consisting of a two-bay farmhouse section and a single-bay cottage at the left-hand end. The farmhouse is two storeys high, featuring a doorway offset to the left of centre with a board door, and two sash windows on each floor. The cottage section has a doorway at its left-hand end and a sash window on each floor. All windows and the doorways have splayed stone heads, and the windows have stone sills. A multiple-flue chimney is located at the junction of the farmhouse and cottage, with another chimney on the right-hand gable.
