Description

Smithy House is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of coursed square sandstone and has a slate roof. The building features three bays and two storeys, with a symmetrical design. In the centre, there is a single-storey gabled porch. The ground floor has two segmental-headed sashed windows, while the upper floor has three windows. On the left (north) gable wall, there is a Greek revival Doric porch with two columns at the ground floor. Above this, at the first floor, are two carved niches that contain statues, and the gable is topped with a pediment that has a blind lunette on the band.
