Description
No. 36 Roby Mill is a small house dated 1812, located in Up Holland. The building features roughcast render, likely over sandstone rubble, and has a stone slate roof that has been tarred. It has a double-depth, double-fronted plan with two storeys and two symmetrical windows. The ground floor has plain render below the sill level, a central doorway with a plain surround, and 2-light sashed windows that include columnar mullions without glazing bars. The upper floor displays a datestone inscribed with "E/J H/1812" at its center. The house has gable chimneys and is part of a group with Nos. 38, 40, and 42, which are adjacent to the left.
