Description

The gate piers at the entrance to Knights House are a pair of structures, likely dating from the early 18th century. They are made of sandstone ashlar and designed in a classical style. Each pier is approximately 0.5 meters square and about 3 meters high, featuring a moulded plinth, a prominent moulded cornice, and an urn finial adorned with gadrooning. These gate piers form a group with Knights House. Notably, the north pier has been recently moved slightly further north.
