Description
Numbers 5 and 7 are a pair of cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared sandstone and feature a slate roof. The cottages have a double-depth plan and are single-fronted, standing two storeys high with one window on each floor. The doorways are located to the left and have plain stone jambs and lintels. Number 5 has unhorned sashed windows, while Number 7 features 4-pane sashes. All windows have raised sills, with the ground floor windows having wedge lintels. There is a ridge chimney and a gable chimney on the right side. Number 5 is notable for having a stone slab wall very close to its front wall, which is one of the few surviving examples in this area. This pair of cottages is part of a group of buildings.
