Description
18 and 20 Roby Mill are a pair of cottages, likely built in the late 18th century, which have been altered and remodeled internally. They are constructed from coursed graduated sandstone rubble and feature a stone slate roof. Originally designed as double-depth cottages, each is single fronted and has two low storeys with one window on each side. The doorways are located to the left and have thin rectangular lintels with board doors. The ground floor has square three-light casement windows with applied hexagonal-patterned leading, while the upper floor has oblong three-light casements that have replaced the original small-paned sliding sashes. The cottages no longer have a chimney and are now integrated with The Fox Inn to the left.
