Description

No. 4 Horse Market is a small house dating from 1797. It is two storeys high and constructed of ashlar with a slate roof and two chimneys. The building has a symmetrical three-bay design featuring a plinth, rusticated quoins, and a sill band. The windows have plain stone surrounds and are sashed with all glazing bars. The doorway, which has a plain stone surround, is inscribed with the year 1797 on the lintel and features a cornice. The door consists of six raised and fielded panels. The sides and back of the house are made of coursed rubble, and there is a stair window at the back with glazing bars.
