SD 82 SE BACUP TODMORDEN ROAD

13/67 No. 42 - GV II

House, later C18, now derelict. Watershot coursed sandstone, stone slate roof with chimney at left gable. Two bays and 2 storeys, with plain doorway offset slightly right of centre, and 2 stepped multiple-light windows on each floor: all 5 lights except that to the right of the door which has 3 lights. Present 1st floor partition wall of brick suggests that 1st floor was originally open throughout. Probably used for domestic weaving.
