Description
This milestone, dated 'TG 1739', is located approximately 150 metres southeast of the school in Bowland Forest High. It is made of sandstone and has a rectangular shape. The west face is inscribed with 'TO LANKSTER 11: MS', the south face with 'TO CLITHERC 7: MS', the east face with 'TO SLAIDBURN M: 3', and the north face with 'TO HORNBY: 10 MS'.
