Description
Burholme Farmhouse is a house, probably built in the late 18th century, with later 19th century alterations and some remains from the 17th century. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and features a blue slate roof, with the west gable wall being slate hung. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds and square mullions; the windows in the first bay consist of two lights, while the others have three lights. The door, located between the first and second bays, has a chamfered surround with a triangular head. Above the door, on the first floor, there is a small one-light window with a plain stone surround. The farmhouse also has stone gutter brackets, and the chimneys are situated between the second and third bays, as well as on the right-hand gable, where the stack projects.
