Description
Boarsden Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared watershot sandstone and has a slate roof. The building features a double-pile plan with a central entrance and end stacks. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three bays. The windows are surrounded by plain stone and consist of three lights with square mullions, except for the central first-floor window, which has two lights. The gables are topped with copings and kneelers. The chimney caps have moulded copings and weathered offsets. On the right-hand (east) gable wall, there is a door with a plain stone surround and two attic windows, also with plain stone surrounds. The rear wall is made of rubble and includes one re-used and extended three-light double-chamfered mullioned window, along with parts of 17th-century surrounds used as jambs for other windows. The stair window is sashed with glazing bars and is set in a plain stone surround.
