Description
Crag House is a house, probably built in the late 18th century, featuring some re-used 17th-century dressings. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and has a slate roof with a double-pile plan.
On the west wall, to the left of the main door, there are two windows; the left window is a sash with glazing bars in a plain stone surround, while the right window has plain reveals. To the right of the door is a fixed window with glazing bars and plain reveals, located under part of a wider segmental arch. On the first floor, there is a one-light chamfered window, and further to the right, another one-light window with plain reveals. The main door features a plain stone surround, and at the far right, there is a second door with plain reveals.
The north gable, which faces the road, has chamfered quoins and a chimney cap with coping and a weathered offset. It contains two blocked doors with plain stone surrounds, with the left-hand one now serving as a window. A central window also has a plain stone surround. On the first floor, there are two sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. Above these, there are two blocked rebated and chamfered mullioned attic windows with two lights.
