Description

Nos. 5, 7, and 9 Town End are houses that form part of a row, likely built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble, primarily limestone on the ground floor with sandstone above. The buildings are two storeys tall with an attic. The windows are sashed with gong bars and have plain stone surrounds.

No. 5 has one bay, with the door located to the left. The door features raised and fielded panels and a plain stone surround, accessed by five stone steps. There is a low window in the cellar with a plain stone surround, along with another opening to the right that has a similar surround. A chimney is positioned to the right.

No. 7 consists of two bays, with the door situated in the right-hand bay. On the ground floor, there are two adjacent window surrounds. The door also has raised and fielded panels and a plain stone surround, with five stone steps leading up to it. Below the ground-floor window, there is a cellar opening with a plain stone surround, and a chimney is located to the left.

No. 9 has one bay, with the door to the left, which features raised and fielded panels and a plain stone surround, along with five steps. There are two cellar openings, both with plain stone surrounds, although the right-hand one is blocked. To the right, there are projecting furrowed quoins and a chimney. The right-hand gable includes an attic window with plain stone jambs and glazing bars.
