Description

SD 84 SW DOWNHAM PENDLE ROAD (off) SD 801 435 8/44 Hollins Farmhouse and barn adjoining to south-west - - II

House, late C18th. Squared sandstone with stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Windows have plain stone surrounds and square mullions. To the left they are of 3 lights, to the right of 2 lights. The door, between bays, has a plain stone surround. Chimney to left of each bay. The barn to the left is of the same build under a continuous roof. The wide entrance has an outshut porch which has a later lean-to against its right-hand side. To the left is a door with plain stone surround and a window with plain reveals which appears to be a modern insertion. The gables have copings with kneelers.
