Description
Back o' t'thorn is a house, formerly two cottages, built around 1800. It features limestone rubble construction, with the right-hand bay made of sandstone, and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds, with the first and second bays having two-light windows with square mullions. Each bay has a door on the left, all with plain stone surrounds; however, the right-hand door is now blocked. The two remaining doors each have a hood made of two pitched stone slates. To the left of each door, there is a straight joint, with the right-hand one indicating a break in the angle of the facade. There is a chimney to the right of each bay.
