Description
The Village Hall, originally a Methodist chapel, is believed to date from 1817. It is constructed of squared sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are fitted with plain stone surrounds and modern top-hung casements that include glazing bars. The central door is framed by a plain stone surround with a semi-circular head, which has a projecting keystone and impost blocks. On the left-hand (north-west) gable, there are two sashed windows with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds on the ground floor, along with a central tripartite window that has square mullions. The first floor also features a similar tripartite window. To the south-east, there are mid-20th century extensions that lack architectural interest.
