Description

Greengates is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features two bays. The windows are sashed with plain stone surrounds. The entrance door, located between the bays, also has a plain stone surround and is covered by a hood made of two pitched slates. There is a chimney on the left-hand gable and another to the right of the door. The left-hand gable shows stone slate weathering, which indicates the steeply-pitched roof of an adjoining building that has since been demolished. This property is listed for its group value.
