Pair of houses, late C18th. Squared watershot sandstone with stone slate roof. 2 storeys. No. 43 of one bay, No. 44 (to right) of 2 bays. Windows tripartite with plain stone surrounds and square mullions, except for the right-hand 1st floor one to No. 44 which has a plain stone surround. All are sashed with glazing bars except for the left- hand ground-floor window of No. 43, which is modern with glazing bars. Doors, with plain stone surrounds, to right of left-hand bay and at far right. Shaped stone gutter brackets. Stacks on gables and to right of left-hand door.
